The ratio you keep on ExYu Subs is very important. The ratio is your uploaded amount of data, devided by your downloaded amount of data. Some examples:
| Your current upload | Your current download | Your ratio |
|---|---|---|
| 10GB | 10GB | 1.0 |
| 20GB | 10GB | 2.0 |
| 200GB | 300GB | 0.667 |
Let's say you current ratio is 1.0. In order to keep that ratio from falling, you will need to upload each torrent to exactly 1.0 as well. As soon as you upload more or less, your overall ratio will also rise or drop.
An example:
Your current ratio upload is 100GB and your current download is also 100GB, you have a great ratio of 1:
| Uploaded | Downloaded | Ratio |
|---|---|---|
| 100GB | 100GB | 1.0 |
If you download a 10GB torrent now without uploading anything else, your ratio will fall because of your new traffic amounts:
| Uploaded | Downloaded | Ratio |
|---|---|---|
| 100GB | 110GB | 0.909 |
Your ratio will rise again once you start uploading data. If your torrent reaches 10GB up, you total amount of data will be 110/110= 1.0 once again:
| Uploaded | Downloaded | Ratio |
|---|---|---|
| 110GB | 110GB | 1.0 |
