User Ratios

The ratio you keep on ExYu Subs is very important. The ratio is your uploaded amount of data, devided by your downloaded amount of data. Some examples:

Your current upload Your current download Your ratio
10GB 10GB 1.0
20GB 10GB 2.0
200GB 300GB 0.667

How does my ratio evolve?

Let's say you current ratio is 1.0. In order to keep that ratio from falling, you will need to upload each torrent to exactly 1.0 as well. As soon as you upload more or less, your overall ratio will also rise or drop.

An example:
Your current ratio upload is 100GB and your current download is also 100GB, you have a great ratio of 1:

Uploaded Downloaded Ratio
100GB100GB1.0

If you download a 10GB torrent now without uploading anything else, your ratio will fall because of your new traffic amounts:

Uploaded Downloaded Ratio
100GB110GB0.909

Your ratio will rise again once you start uploading data. If your torrent reaches 10GB up, you total amount of data will be 110/110= 1.0 once again:

Uploaded Downloaded Ratio
110GB110GB1.0

What's MY ratio?

  • On any page just look at the banner on top of your screen, it will show you a few things, just hoover over the different numbers to see what they correspond with.
  • It's important to distinguish between your overall ratio and the individual ratio on each torrent you may be seeding or leeching. The overall ratio takes into account the total uploaded and downloaded from your account since you joined the site. The individual ratio takes into account those values for each torrent.

What is the minimum ratio I should keep?

  • Every user is expected to maintain an overall site ratio of 0.4 after downloading 6GB. If you fail to do this the site will automatically warn your account and you will have 7 days to get back to an overal account ratio of 0.5 The warning will automatically be removed as long as your account is still over the 0.5 minimum site ratio as soon as it expires. It will NOT remove itself as soon as you reach a ratio of 0.5
  • There is also a per torrent minimum which is also 1:1 If you are not able to seed the torrent to 1:1 then you will need to leave it seeding for the required amount of time for your user class, or you could receive a warning for Hit & Run.
